First race of RAT Track Series a success!

On June 24th, the Rothmaier family hosted the first of three races in the
RAT Track Series
and without a doubt, claim it was a success.

Rider entry was a record for the RAT Track at 493 entries. And despite hot and sunny conditions, the track was kept in near pristine condition by track-owner Ewald Rothmaier.

At this race, the Rothmaier family added some ground-breaking, innovative new ideas to make race day a little easier on riders and fans alike. In addition to early sign-in on Saturday night, every rider who entered the motocross facility was provided with an advance schedule of the race-day events, sign-in sheets and a personal garbage bag.

Riders were also treated to random draws for prizes that local merchants and enthusiastic dealers had generously supplied. In total, 60 prizes were given away with more than 72 prizes slated for the next race at the Paisley RAT Track on July 8th. For a complete list of prize-winners, click here. The RAT Track would like to thank all the sponsors who were so generous with their donations.

Also new at the RAT Track this year is our RAT Track Series. The riders who attend all three races at the RAT Track with the top-three highest points in their class are eligible to win prizes donated by Gowland Motorsports. Click here to view the current point standings in the series

Injuries were kept to an all-time low with only two recorded motocross injuries along with a couple of bee stings and one staff injury. We hope that all are well on their way to recovery.

Be sure to make it out to the next race at the RAT Track on July 8th. With all the prizes available to be won, the best ever is a random draw where one rider will win an autographed pair of JSR’s motocross pants – the same one’s that he wore at the Toronto Supercross this past May!

As always, if you have any comments about race day at the RAT Track, we’d love to hear them. Either sign our guestbook or send your comments to our Webmaster.
